Poodle and Dachshund puppies from an Italian family breeder
We are Gianni and Aldo. In Barletta, on the Adriatic coast of Puglia in southern Italy, we breed two breeds: the Poodle and the Dachshund. Our puppies grow up in our home, in the middle of family life, with voices, household sounds and plenty of human contact.
These pages are for families elsewhere in Europe who are thinking about a puppy from Italy and want to understand, before anything else, how it works: from the first video call to the paperwork EU law requires for a puppy to travel.
Our two breeds
Two very different companions. Both live happily in a flat, but they ask different things of their family.
How it works if you don’t live in Italy
First conversation
You message us on WhatsApp about your home, your routine and what you are looking for. We tell you honestly whether a Poodle or a Dachshund is the better fit.
Meet on video
You see the puppy and where it grows up in photos, videos and video calls, as often as you like.
Documents in advance
Sale contract, health certificates and, on request, the genetic test results of the parents: you see everything before you decide.
Travel under EU rules
A puppy travels abroad at 15 weeks at the earliest, with a valid rabies vaccination, EU pet passport and official health certificate. Details under Travel & documents.
After arrival
Once the puppy is with you, we stay in touch for questions about food, routine and the first weeks.
To be clear: we are in Italy
Hysabel Luxury has a single address: our home in Barletta. We have no kennel, agent or pick-up point in any other country. Anyone who says otherwise is not speaking for us.
What comes with every puppy
- microchip, and vaccinations and treatments appropriate to its age;
- a veterinary certificate of good health;
- for travel abroad: EU pet passport with a valid rabies vaccination and an official health certificate;
- a sale contract;
- the parents’ genetic test results, on request;
- a puppy kit for the first bath, as a gift.

Can we see the puppy before deciding?
Yes, in photos, videos and video calls, as often as you like. We also show you the surroundings it grows up in.
From what age can a puppy travel to another EU country?
From 15 weeks at the earliest. The rabies vaccination can be given from 12 weeks and becomes valid 21 days later. See Travel & documents.
Do you have a location outside Italy?
No. Our only location is Barletta, Italy.
