Poodle puppies from our family home
The Poodle is one of the most intelligent and affectionate companion dogs there is. It learns fast, reads the mood of the house precisely and wants to be wherever you are. Its curly coat barely sheds, but it never stops growing.
Our Poodle puppies grow up with us in Barletta. Here you’ll find what you should know about the breed and what the path to your puppy looks like if you live outside Italy.

Temperament: bright and close to its family
A Poodle picks up routines remarkably quickly: mealtimes, walk times, who comes home when. That makes training a pleasure – but it learns unwanted habits just as fast. Simple, kind, consistent rules from day one are half the job.
It is not a garden or kennel dog. It wants to be involved. If nobody is home for most of the day, think that through honestly before deciding. More in Poodle temperament.
Coat: little hair on the sofa, plenty of care
Poodle hair grows without a break. Loose hairs stay caught in the curls, which is why you see so few of them at home. The flip side: without brushing, the coat mats close to the skin. Plan on brushing several times a week and a groomer every few weeks.
No dog is completely hypoallergenic. If anyone at home has allergies, talk to a doctor before deciding. Details in Coat and grooming.

Travelling to your country
A puppy can only travel to another EU country from 15 weeks, because the rabies vaccination can be given from 12 weeks and only becomes valid 21 days later. Frequently asked questions
Which Poodle size is best for a flat?
In a flat, walks and activity matter more than size. The small sizes are easy to carry but more fragile if they fall. See Poodles in a flat and with children.
Do Poodles shed?
Very little – the hair stays in the curls. That is exactly why the coat needs regular brushing and clipping.
